01/ The Challenge

This year, the NBA All-Stars was hosted in Chicago, Illinois. Ovadia & Sons was doing an exclusive release at Neiman Marcus + to celebrate they brought out NBA superstar, Trae Young, to talk about the collection.

The brand wanted the theme of both the event + images to have a retro aesthetic about them.

02/ The Story

For this project, I decided that as far as lighting I wanted to use a two light set up to replicate the looks you would see on old collectable NBA cards.

With the coloring, I desaturated the images just a tad to add to the “faded” feel.

The end results? High quality images that Ovadia & Sons were able to share with their event attendees to not only say thank you for supporting but to remember the night forever.
