01/ The Challenge

For Black History Month, Spotify collaborated with three Black-owned brands to create custom clothing pieces to be given away at a limited time only pop up shop in New York City.

In order to build up hype for the event, they wanted to capture unique flat lay images to showcase what they would be giving away at the actual event.

02/ The Story

For this project, a theme that the creative director had grown tired of the usual images and wanted something different.

We wanted to create images a little more unique than the typical flat lays you would see on most e-commerce websites, so we angled the lights to create a more hard shadow on the clothing, thus adding more character + depth to the images.

The final results, crisp and clean images that were used not only instore at the actual event but also on the Spotify app + on the company’s social media platforms.
